Flaxseeds are a nutritional powerhouse, containing a source of many essential vitamins and minerals. They are high in Thiamine (Vitamin B1) which supports normal heart function and offer a source of Magnesium, which contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Flaxseeds are high in Omega 3, an essential fatty acid known as ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), which contributes to heart health through the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2g of ALA.
